Salad Dressing — Easy and Quick


It's not beautiful, but it tastes good.


Place in a jar:

1 clove finely minced garlic

1 t French mustard with seeds

3 T olive oil, or whatever oil you prefer

1 T vinegar, such as apple cider, balsamic, etc. OR 1 T lemon juice

1/4 t salt and pepper, Japanese shiokosho works fine (塩胡椒)

Shake. It's best to make this a day or so ahead, so the flavors mix well. If you store it in the fridge, take it out about 30 minutes before using, otherwise the olive oil may be a bit solidified.
